Desiring God ministries approached me to write this book, The Scars That Have Shaped Me: How God Meets Us in Suffering. I have been profoundly impacted by their ministry so it is a true privilege to partner with them. In the book I tell my story of God’s exquisite care and faithfulness in the midst of devastating loss and pain.

Psalm 66 aptly describes my journey. It says, “For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. You have brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance … Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.” (Psalm 66:10-12,16)

It is my earnest prayer that you will read this book and be encouraged to find that God is ever faithful even in the midst of great suffering. And that you too will rejoice as you tell others what the Lord has done for your soul.
